Dwyane Wade: LeBron’s In The Lab, He’s Going To Give You The Best Version Of LeBron James”

LeBron James didn’t have much success with his team, and he promised to change that in the 2019-20 season. Dwyane Wade shares the same opinion.

“I don’t need to talk to him about this year. You all know LeBron. He’s in the lab, he’s getting ready, he’s going to give you the best version of LeBron James. I think what we all love to see is a guy going into his 17th season still dominating the league the way he’s been dominating.

It’s truly special, so keep watching. I look forward to being a fan and rooting these teams on. Obviously with LeBron being on the Lakers, I got a dog in the fight from a friend standpoint, but I definitely think it’s going to be a great time this season to enjoy basketball and sports.”

In 2018, LeBron averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game.

This isn’t the first time Wade expresses his full support for LeBron. He will always remember their game in Miami and the challenge they accepted together.

In his appearance on the Knuckleheads podcast, Wade talked about his time in Miami and the reasons that brought him and LeBron in the big city. Do you know that they almost signed with Chicago?

“I sit here with you guys and I promise, I never thought me and LeBron would play together,” Wade told Richardson and Miles. “I remember going to my agent’s office and he was like, ‘Yo, LeBron and Leon–at the time that was his agent–they want to get on a call with us.’ I’m like, ‘Okay.’ I remember talking to Bron he was like, ‘Where your head at?’ I said, ‘My head is in winning, where your head at?’ He was like, ‘Same thing, let’s rock together.’ I’m like, ‘Cool! Let’s do it.’

“When we was trying to make a decision of what city we wanted to play in or what we wanted to be, we had to keep our options open. Chicago was on the top of both of our lists. They had two max contracts and they had a young D-Rose. They had a Luol Deng, they had Noah, they had all these pieces. So I’m like, ‘In Chicago, in one of the biggest markets?’ But listen, we thought about it. Then we looked at New York. And when it came down to it, Miami was the only team with enough money to get all three of us. Every other team only had two max contracts. When it came down to it, we thought CB was the perfect match. And ultimately bro, I just wanted to win.”
