Watch: Draymond Green Says LeBron’s’ Business Achievements Are Greater Than His Basketball Dominance

LeBron James is the most successful basketball player, and his off-court accomplishment is even bigger than his career. That’s what Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green said.

Green credits the Lakers star for opening the doors for athletes in “taking control of their own future.”

Tyler Mathisen asked, “The anticipation for this season is really very high. And one of the things that think the NBA has done well as the NFL has is to make the league a year-round conversation topic. It’s partly the summer league, it’s partly the draft and so on and so forth. But the player movement this year has been really significant and has people talking.”

Draymond’s answer was loud and clear.

“It has a lot of people talking and obviously that’s a huge and large credit to Lebron James. You know, with what he’s done in his career that’s kind of shown everybody else the power that you have as a player. And that’s, you know, that’s why you saw the movement this year is because the athlete, the basketball players have taken control of their own future. We’ve taken control of our destiny. And I think a lot of people hate that but I think that’s one of – you know, everybody celebrates Lebron for his basketball career and the things he’s been able to accomplish. I think the doors that he’s opened for athletes and especially basketball players is his biggest accomplishment.”

Green made a few good points. LeBron has three NBA titles, four MVP’s, three finals MVP’s, two Olympic gold medals, etc. He is called the GOAT, and that’s not all.

The king’s off-court success is huge. LeBron opened the I Promise School in 2018 in his hometown Akron, Ohio, in an attempt to help at-risk youth. Graduates will receive a full scholarship to the University of Akron.
LeBron’s students have already received free eye exams, lenses and frames. That’s not all. The king will do his best to support these children in life. He didn’t have someone to stand by him and lacked a father figure. But, he will always be there for the children at his school.
