Bill Belichick Gets 300th Career Win In 27-13 Victory Vs. Browns

We’re used to seeing Tom Brady hit milestones almost every game he plays in. But, it’s time to see coach Bill Belichick hit his milestone. The Patriots’ 27-13 win over the Cleveland Browns was important for the head coach because it’s the 300th career win for Belichick as head coach.

The Patriots’ eighth win in eight games this season made Belichick the third coach to ever hit this milestone. Don Shula has 347 and George Halas has 324. Belichick has 268 wins in the regular season and 31 in the postseason.

Belichick’s coaching career has come full circle to hit this milestone. His first win as a head coach happened as part of the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 8, 1991. The Browns defeated the Patriots 20-0. Belichick earned his 300th win on the opposite sideline against his former squad.

New England has excellent foundation, and Belichick has a lot of wins ahead of him. He is expected to pass Shula on the list before calling it career which would make him the best head coach in the NFL.This makes us ask questions. How many times did Belichick laugh throughout these wins? Rob Gronkowski has something to say about this.

The retired tight end was amazed with Belichick’s grin in the game against the Jets, and even wrote him a letter.

Dear Bill, I watched the Jets game. Tom (Tom Brady), Jules (Julian Edelman) and the fellas looked good. As you like to say, it was a good team win. Executed in all three phases,” Gronkowski said. “But even bigger than the win was a rare moment in the fourth quarter. I saw it. I almost missed it. I’m sure a lot of the fans watching didn’t catch it, but I did. You smiled!

“Through nine seasons and even three Super Bowls, I’d never seen you with such pure joy on the field. This is such a big deal that me and my team went to the drawing board to make you something special. It’s your very own emoji. This one, it’s your smile. To be used by all Patriots fans when we know something they don’t know. You’re welcome. So let’s all enjoy this smile for a moment. But it’s a short week, so then it’s back to business. On to the next one. Miss you. Sincerely yours, Roberto.”
