Vince Wilfork Comments On Patriots’ Defense Domination Vs. Jets

The New England Patriots can brag with the best defense in the NFL, and Vince Wilfork praised the guys for their action against the New York Jets. Well, this guy knows good defense.

The former defensive tackle spent the first decade of his career with the Patriots with three interceptions, 12 fumble recoveries, 16 sacks and 355 solo tackles. He is a two-time Super Bowl champion.

It’s more than obvious that he enjoys watching the Patriots defeat other teams, and the Jets have zero chance against the defense.

Jets quarterback Sam Darnold had 34 passing yards with two picks in the first half of the game at MetLife Stadium. The Jets had impeccable game against the Dallas Cowboys, but New England is winning this game.

The Patriots have a dominant defense this season, and they have 18 interceptions in the first seven weeks. We can only imagine their greatness at the end of the regular season.

Quarterback Tom Brady always praises defensive players, because these guys are doing a really good job on the field. The offense has been struggling in every game so far, but the defense is brilliant. Everyone noticed that.

“The way our defense is playing, as long as we don’t turn the ball over, we know we have a great chance to win because they are playing as well as any defense I have ever played with,” Brady said on WEEI’s The Greg Hill Show. “It is really spectacular to watch from the sideline.

“I mean, look at the stats through five weeks,” he added. “They are very good in the secondary. They have really great players. They have a great rush. Linebackers are so versatile. They are so well-coached. It’s fun to watch. Only five games into the year, I am sure they think they have a lot to prove. It’s fun from the sideline. … They are doing an incredible job. Let’s keep it going.”

It’s more than obvious that the Patriots are winning this one, but it was nice to give the Jets a reason to try harder. Some analysts said that the Jets would give Brady a headache, but guess who is taking some painkillers right now…
