Watch: Robert Griffin III Imitated Tom Brady In Practice Before Ravens-Patriots

Robert Griffin III has led the Baltimore Ravens through several different scenarios relying on the quarterback position. They imitated the style of other quarterbacks. Well, this is a common practice for a backup quarterback, and these players usually get in this role for the scout team, especially for a quarterback like Griffin. He decided to change his approach for the Ravens to get the best prep for the game against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

NFL Media’s Mike Garofolo reported Thursday on NFL Network that Griffin ran in “slow motion” to imitate Brady in practice for Baltimore’s defense.

Robert Griffin may need another immitation

TB12 isn’t the most athletic quarterback, but he moves around in the pocket perfectly. Sometimes he steps up to avoid the rush, and other times he slides to one side to get some extra time. Let’s be honest, TB12 is a master at making space in the pocket, and h always deliver strong passes.

Did this imitation help the Ravens defeat New England? Was this of great help for the defense? Well, the Ravens defense played really well. The Patriots quarterback was sacked twice, hit 10 times and three only one touchdown pass with one interception in the 37-20 loss to the Ravens. Brady is 42 and his quarterback rating of 80.4 is his second-lowest for a single match this season.

Griffin will probably imitate Brady again in case they meet in the playoffs. If you take a look at the current AFC playoff picture, you will definitely say that the teams may play again in the AFC Championship Game in January.

This doesn’t come as a surprise, because the Patriots are trying to win Super Bowls. All the time. They won’t stop this time, and they better win a few more before Brady calls it career. Of course, he won’t do that in near future. Hopefully. Brady is set to become a free agent in March, but we like to believe that the Patriots won’t let him go that easily. It’s an important season for everyone, and Brady has a key role on the roster. Belichick won’t let him go.
