Lakers’ LeBron James Says Team Has Championship Aspirations

The Los Angeles Lakers won 10 straight games this season. The team hasn’t done this since December 2009 when Kobe Bryant and Paul Gasol had an incredible start and led the team to a championship. Will the Lakers have a similar season? It’s too soon to say, but we do know that the team had an incredible start of the season. According to Wizards coach Scott Brooks, the Lakers are the best team in basketball. He sure knows how LeBron James won ten consecutive games.

Anthony Davis scored 26 points and 13 rebounds, and LeBron had 23 points and 11 assists before the duo took the fourth quarter off in the team’s 17th win in 18 games, 125-103 over the Wizards on Friday night.

Quinn Cook scored 17 points and JaVale McGee stacked 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Lakers went 14-1 in November and jumped to the top of the overall NBA standings. The team hasn’t won this many contests in a month since March 2000.

If you ask LeBron, he will say that his team has championship aspirations. They don’t even think about the championship. The king and his teammates are focused on the next game.

”We have championship aspirations, but that’s not what’s here right now,” LeBron said. ”What’s here is our next opponent. We want to continue to get better. We have guys who have been there and know what it takes. This is a long process, and we can never shortcut it. But we can enjoy it along the way.”

The Wizards are one of the league’s worst defensive teams this season. LeBron and his dynamic offense were just too much for them.

The Lakers outscored the Wizards 84-36 during a 24-minute span extending from midway through the first quarter until midway through the third, when LeBron’s jumper put the team up by 37. The Lakers made runs of 17-0 and 18-0 during their one-sided stretch. They have incredible chemistry on the floor. It’s a long season, but the predictions are great.

Unlike 2018, 2019 will be much better for LeBron and his team. Of course, the duo has to stay healthy to make the playoffs. LeBron isn’t used to missing the playoffs, and he signed with the Lakers to win a title. He will definitely win one with this year’s team. King James will keep the promise he made to his fans.
