Patriots Rule Out Phillip Dorsett After Suffering Head Injury On TD Catch

The New England Patriots struggled in the first half of their Week 11 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, they got better in the second half of the game, and receiver Julian Edelman had his first touchdown of the game. Well, Phillip Dorsett didn’t really have luck with his catch, and he suffered a head injury. The receiver was questionable to return to the game due to his injury.

Dorsett suffered his head injury on a 15-yard touchdown catch on a throw by Edelman. He received a bad hit from Eagles cornerback Rasul Douglas on the third quarter play.

The receiver was sent to the Patriots’ blue pop-up injury tent after the touchdown catch, and walked to the locker room accompanied by team trainers and the NFL’s concussion spotter.

According to the latest update, Dorsett won’t return to the game.

Patriots first-round draft pick N’Keal Harry replaced Dorsett in the offense, joining Edelman and newly acquired veteran receiver Mohamed Sanu. New England also has wide receivers Jakobi Meyers and Matthew Slater on the field.

Dorsett was able to catch three passes on five targets for 33 yards with a touchdown before leaving the game.

Tonight’s game is really tough for both teams, and they struggle to score. New England players made several mistakes, and head coach Bill Belichick will have a good talk while watching the film. This is the third game that got Belichick worried. The Buffalo Bills gave his players a hard time, and the Baltimore Ravens defeated Tom Brady and Co.

This game may be finished with a win for New England as most NFL experts agreed, but it’s definitely a challenge for the Patriots. The offense struggled again, and the team had trouble performing in the red zone. As usual. This problem is present for several games in a row.

Let’s see if the Patriots will be satisfied with Dorsett’s replacement. Harry was expected to have his NFL debut tonight. Head coach Belichick didn’t really provide a precise evaluation of his rookie receiver. We will wait until the post-game press conference to see if Belichick is satisfied with Harry.
