LeBron James Fulfilled Christmas Wish Of Teen With Cancer

Corey Groves is a 17-year-old teen from Brampton, Ontario. He is diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, and his only wish was meeting LeBron James. His Christmas wish was finally fulfilled.

“I got my wish,” Groves captioned an Instagram photo of him and the Lakers superstar. “So thankful to everyone that helped me make this happen.”

Sources reveal that  Groves was diagnosed with stage four sarcoma cancer about six months ago. He has had 12 rounds of chemotherapy. Experts reveal that this form of cancer has a 15% survival rate, and doctors told Groves that he has less than a year left.

The teen was granted a wish from the Children’s Wish Foundation. All he wanted was to meet LeBron James and shake his hand.

“Everyone wants something more than a handshake,” Groves said in a video shared on the Trillium Health Partners Twitter account. “But a handshake is like a friendship between someone. And, you know, I have everything I want, so I can’t complain. A handshake would just be the best thing.”

The Children’s Wish Foundation arranged a trip to Los Angeles for the teen to see the Los Angeles Lakers play the Clippers on Christmas Day. However, they couldn’t organize a meeting with LeBron.

Remember the story of Toronto Raptors superfan Nav Bhatia? He jumped in to help the kid. Bhatia visited the teen at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario, and brought some great news.

“Let me tell you, you are going to meet him,” Bhatia said. “I already talked to him. You make sure you have fun with it.”

Bhatia’s spokesperson, Rinku Ghei, revealed that the Raptors superfan worked “diligently behind the scenes to make this happen.”

“We were just trying to make a Christmas miracle happen,” Ghei said.

This is more than emotional. Our hearts melted. This story is here to teach us a lesson of life. LeBron is such a nice person, and he made Christmas even better. The teen is going through a nightmare, and LeBron made life easier for him. That makes him an even greater star. Keep up the good job, King James!
