Tom Brady Sends Heartfelt Message To His ‘Idol’ Joe Montana

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has more Super Bowls than any other player in the NFL. Brady is considered the Greatest of All Time. But even the GOAT looks up to someone. Joe Montana.

TB12 was named to the NFL’s All-Time Team as one of the best quarterbacks to ever hit the field. Brady has kept a chip on his shoulder after being drafted in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He doesn’t like being called the GOAT. It makes him cringe. Brady has talked about this on so many occasions. He just likes to play the game. That’s all.

Being named to the league’ All-Time Team means a lot for Brady, so he used the opportunity to praise his idol. TB12 grew up idolizing Montana.

The GOAT shared an amazing message for his idol and provided a brief memory of watching the legend play in person at the 1981 NFC Championship game in San Francisco. The game became famous for The Catch made by Dwight Clark with less than 30 seconds left of the fourth quarter.

“When I was 4 years old I watched Joe play at Candlestick Park on Jan. 10, 1982 and saw “The Catch”, one of the greatest plays in football history. It feels surreal today to be on this list alongside my idol. I’m very honored and humbled. I’m sure there’s a kid out there somewhere who’s looking at this list, watching tape of me and Joe and making plans to knock both of us down a spot. That’s why football is the best.”

TB12 and the New England Patriots won the AFC East division title on Saturday. They are trying hard to get the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs. Brady is trying to add another ring to his collection. He has six Super Bowl rings at the moment, and that’s a record. Montana finished his regular season with four Super Bowl wins.

Brady has so much to offer, and he won’t retire in the near future. Hopefully. The quarterback lays elite football, and he is set to become a free agent in March. What will happen next in his career?
