Former NFL RB Speculates Percentage Chance Of Tom Brady Returning To Patriots

Quarterback Tom Brady may leave the New England Patriots in free agency. That’s what some reports suggest. The Patriots quarterback has spent his entire career with the organization, and it would be hard to see him leave at this point. New England will lose its leader. Let’s be honest. Without Tom Brady, the patriots have no chance of winning a Super Bowl. Brady has helped his team win six trophies. Head coach Bill Belichick has yet to find a replacement for him. Jarett Stidham lacks the experience, and he is too young to fit in Brady’s shoes. Is the former NFL RB right about Tom Brady?

There are so many reports regarding Brady’s future with the Patriots, and Brian Westbrook doesn’t agree with most of them.

Jeff Darlington from ESPN suggested that he’d be “stunned” if TB12 returned to Fxboro. Karen Guregian from the Boston Herald said the Patriots have yet to start off the negotiation process.

The former NFL RB has a theory on Tom Brady

According to Westbrook, the current narrative will change in near future.

“I think there’s a 75 percent chance that Tom Brady returns back to New England, but here’s the reason why: he hasn’t had the conversation with Bill Belichick,” Westbrook said Friday on FS1’s “First Things First.” “I had a bunch of conversations with Andy Reid and when I went into that office — we’re in the middle of negotiations and I had my agent talking to (former Philadelphia Eagles president) Joe Banner, I had my agent talking to the owner — but when I had the conversation with Andy Reid, man to man, that’s when the deal got done. Not the agent, it was just me and Andy Reid. … It was a conversation between the player and the coach.

“I think at some point Tom Brady is going to have a conversation with Bill Belichick and Bill Belichick’s gonna say, ‘Listen, Tom, I can pay you $30 (million), I can pay you $29 (million),’ whatever that number is and Tom is going to have to say no to the man he’s been with for the last 19 years.”

Brady and Belichick have spent two decades together. A meeting between these two can easily solve the situation. Belichick has a specific way of doing things. Reid dos things differently. Brady and Westbrook are different, too. Maybe the former running back sees things differently.

TB12 hasn’t said a thing about his free agency decision. He has never been in a similar situation. His wife, Gisele Bundchen, doesn’t know anything about their next home. It all depends on Brady’s offseason move.
