Ben Affleck Reveals His Free Agency Prediction For Patriots’ Tom Brady

Ben Affleck had a lot of fun during his sports media rounds this week. He did a really good job, and used the occasion to touch some of the hottest topics these days. Affleck was promoting his upcoming high school basketball movie, The Way Back. He did that and much more. The great Ben Affleck received a lot of questions, and some of them included Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his pending free agency.

Affleck is a diehard sports fan. Brady’s free agency was probably the most common question he received. Affleck is a Boston native, and he is friends with TB12. That’s where all those questions came from.

Although Brady and Affleck are really good friends, the actor has nothing to do with the quarterback’s offseason move. Where will the quarterback go next? Affleck has no idea. He revealed that he and Matt Damon texted TB12 about his next move. What did Brady say? He just sent them a “shrug” emoji. Classy.

This sort of confirms everything Brady has done so far. He doesn’t really like to talk about his free agency. He doesn’t like to talk about anything that’s in some way linked to his next move.

This didn’t stop Affleck from making a prediction. He talked about it on TNT’s Inside The NBA.

“I’m going to say yes, I’m going to say yes,” the actor said when asked if Brady will join the Patriots in 2020. “I think the biggest issue, frankly, is Belichick, and that’s what people don’t talk about. What is Belichick’s agenda? What is he looking for?”

This is a fair prediction from him. It’s more than obvious that Brady likes his current team. Why would he go somewhere else? He likes the team, and his teammates like him too.

Head coach Bill Belichick is a different story. We don’t know if he has plans for Brady. Will he give the quarterback a chance to take the leading position in 2020? Well, let’s see what happens in March. The free agency period will start on March 18. Brady has enough time to make a decision. Hopefully, Affleck won’t be disappointed.
