Tom Brady Shares Emotional Message About ‘Superhero’ Kobe Bryant

The entire nation celebrated the life of Kobe and Gianna Bryant during the memorial at Staples Center. A lot of people shared their kindest memories of Kobe, and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady shared an emotional message on Instagram.

Brady has a hard time accepting Kobe’s death. He can’t accept it. In his essay, “What’s really important?” Brady discussed the meaning of life and Kobe’s greatness. Brady is a father himself. It’s a shocking tragedy for an athlete and a father.

“I have been deeply affected by the passing of Kobe, Gigi and the others in that tragic flight weeks ago,” TB12 wrote.

Kobe, Gigi and seven others died in the crash on Jan. 26. Brady wrote that since the crash, the “outpouring of love and support for the families” has encouraged him to “reflect and gain perspective” on his own life.

“Why has this touched me in the way that it did?” Brady wrote along with a photo of the Black Mamba kissing his little girl on the head. “Why has it kept me up at night, and brought me so many tears?”

Tom Brady has much respect for Kobe Bryant

The Patriots quarterback also discussed the life of athletes and everything they go through during his career. According to Brady, Bryant was doing really great as a dad, husband and mentor.

“I think that’s why I will miss him most,” TB12 said. “Because we all know the world needs more of that leadership and positivity.”

His life and professional career have mirrored Kobe’s in multiple ways. Brady has six rings, and Bryant won five. They spent two decades in their respective leagues, and their ways have crossed on many occasions. On the day of the crash, Brady honored the Black Mamba with a photo from the 2010 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics.

“If there is anything I have learned and been inspired by through this tragic event, it is this,” Brady ended his thoughts on Tuesday. “SEIZE THE DAY. That’s what Kobe always did, and that’s what he wanted for us too.”

Brady’s letter brought tears to our eyes. Greatness recognizes greatness.
