LeBron helped his team to a 113-103 win over the Bucks on Friday at Staples Center. This rectified the seven-point loss in Milwaukee three months ago. It did more than that. LeBron had yet another brilliant performance. He eclipsed Giannis in points and efficiency. He added another staple to his resume for regular-season MVP run. LeBron defended Giannis in the second half after Anthony Davis was hit with foul trouble. This was the perfect opportunity for him to show his athleticism, speed, and durability to limit a player 10 years younger.

The Lakers cemented their 5.5 game lead for the No. 1 seed in Western Conference. LeBron offered a glimpse of what an NBA Finals game against Giannis might look like.

“LeBron definitely got the upper hand in tonight’s matchup,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said. “But it’s one game out of 82 and I think that LeBron would tell you himself that that’s not really anything that motivates him. It was about beating the Bucks tonight and we’ll let the fans or you nice people talk about MVP comparisons.”

Fans greeted LeBron with MVP chants when he made the free-throw line. LeBron got a lot of questions about the NBA MVP award after the game. Well, he is only focused on winning games at the moment.

After the game, Lakers forward Avery Bradley told his teammate that he played like the king. The Lakers improved their record, and yes, LeBron has a really good chance to win the big award this season. How will LA handle the pressure in the next couple of months?
