ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski Unveils Potential Re-Start Date For NBA

The NBA decided to suspend the regular season due to the coronavirus outbreak. It was a hard decision, but officials couldn’t do anything else. The whole thing started when Utah Jazz superstar Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus. His teammate, Donovan Mitchell has the virus, too. The situation got rather serious, and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver shut down the season. ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski provided details regarding the re-start date of the NBA.

The NBA’s Board of Governors had contact with former US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy on Tuesday. They talked about the coronavirus pandemic.

It may take a few months before everything comes back to normal. Murthy hopes to see the playoffs start before July.

The re-start date for the NBA season

Some said that the NBA could return by mid-June. However, the coronavirus outbreak worsened the situation in the country. The league had to push back the potential return date. Of course, everything can change in the next few weeks. Impossible is nothing. We will have to stay home and see what happens next.

“The ex-US surgeon general Vivek Murthy delivered NBA Board of Governors call a message consistent with other credible health organizations on grim potential impact of coronavirus pandemic in U.S., but left owners with hope of re-starting season/playoffs before July,” Wojnarowski reported.

There are a lot of dilemmas Silver and the league will face in the next couple of months. The NBA may return in the summer. However, the health of players, coaches, and team staff are a priority now.

Players practice self-quarantine. This fuels our hopes to watch the next NBA game. The season may return sooner than expected.

What do players do these days? Stephen Curry and LeBron James are watching highlight videos from high school. The superstars shared great videos on their social networks. It’s nice to see the beginning of their power.

Hopefully, authorities will be able to put the situation under control. It’s up to us to stay home and safe. It’s up to us to decide what happens next. Will we stay in quarantine? Or will we go out and “attract” that nasty virus?
