LeBron James Praises Ja Morant’s Basketball IQ

Age is just a number for Lakers superstar LeBron James. He defies Father Time in brilliant fashion. He also respects young players with impeccable talent. This time the king of basketball had great words for Ja Morant’s basketball IQ. He never misses a thing.

This comes after the terrible loss Los Angeles suffered against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers struggled through the 105-88 defeat. However, they have an excellent lead and have a chance to survive games like this one.

Almost every player on the Lakers roster struggled to gain success on each end of the floor. The Grizzlies had a better organization on the field. In other words, they try really hard to stay in the 2020 NBA playoff race.

Ja Morant was great, and he attracted the attention of King James. The Lakers superstar had words of praise for Morant.

“I don’t think it matters how old you are if you have a basketball IQ. I think he’s played like that probably his whole life because the game is mental and then the physical abilities came after that. Same with me. I mean when I was eight, nine years old… before the physical talents took over, it was about thinking the game and the mental side.

“It doesn’t matter how old you are because you can’t really… you either have it or not when it comes to basketball IQ. You can’t… it’s something that you can’t teach that or learn that. You either born with or you’re not.”

LeBron is the best player of all time. He can read the court and predict a play before it happens. Morant joined the NBA and everyone praised his athleticism and speed. That’s not the best he can offer on the floor. Morant had the incredible passing skills and an awesome ability to facilitate.

It was a field day against LA’s defense, and he got downhill into the lane. Morant hit four of his six attempts from the three-point line. He finished the game with 27 points and 14 assists. Thanks to his sharp moves, the Grizzlies were able to keep the control in their hands.

This loss broke the Lakers’ seven-game winning streak, but they are still the best team in the NBA. They sit on top of the Western Conference at the moment. The New Orleans Pelicans are next on the list. It’s just another win.
