Mike Florio, Chris Simms Suggest Moves Patriots Should Make To Re-Sign Tom Brady

The New England Patriots may lose quarterback Tom Brady in free agency. Brady will enter the open market for the first time in his professional career. Is New England interested in keeping the GOAT? Mike Florio has a theory.

Brady will turn 43 in August. 2019 wasn’t his best season, and some interpreted it as a sign of regression. TB12 is the greatest quarterback of all times. If Brady leaves the Patriots, the team will be left without a replacement. Head coach Bill Belichick has yet to find a replacement for his star quarterback.

Jarrett Stidham drew rare reviews for his development since being picked in the fourth-round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

How will the Patriots handle the pressure? Will the team find a way to keep the star quarterback on the roster?

Mike Florio and Chris Simms talked about the question Tuesday on NBC Sports’ ProFootallTalk Live. They suggested a few moves for the Patriots to consider this offseason.

According to Simms, the Patriots should trade for Odell Beckham Jr. from the Cleveland Browns, O.J. Howard from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Stefon Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings.

Mike Florio has a theory

Florio’s theory includes convincing the former Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia and former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski to come back to Foxboro. Florio discussed the possibility of getting Antonio Brown back again. The Patriots cut Brown in September after just 11 days. He was successful with the team, but he came accompanied by so many problems. Head coach Belichick didn’t want any of that. That’s what reports said. Brown was just too much for the team, and they needed to cut him.

Brady has attracted the attention of the Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys. Who will get Brady in free agency?
