Report: Latest On Patriots’ Interest In Jordan Love Before Draft

The 2020 NLF Draft will start in a few days. The New England Patriots will probably go big this time. Head coach Bill Belichick and Co. have a few voids to fill. They need a receiver and tight end. They also need a quarterback. Jordan Love have been making headlines for quite some time. Many analysts have linked him with the New England Patriots. There’s an update on that question ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Everything points to the fact that the Patriots will go after a quarterback at some point of the draft. Love has been listed as a possible target for the team mostly because he won’t be a high first-round pick. Love is skilled player, and the upside is pretty high. The player may also be erratic, and he likes to take risks. This has led to a bunch of poor decisions during his times at Utah State.

Jordan Love and his role in the draft

NBC Sports’ Peter King revealed that it doesn’t look like the Patriots are too “hot on his trail.” This changes pretty much everything about the game.

“I think I could find a team in the first round, or a team high in the second that might want to trade up, to slot in Utah State quarterback Jordan Love in my mock first round,” King wrote. “Three of the most logical ones — New England, New Orleans, Indianapolis — don’t seem hot on his trail. I won’t be surprised if he goes between 35 and 60. Interesting that the Pro Football Focus big board has Love as the 76th-rated player in the draft, and behind Jalen Hurts and Jake Fromm.”

New England doesn’t own a second-round pick. They used their second-round pick to get Mohamed Sanu through a trade with the Atlanta Falcons. The team may get him at No. 23 overall in the first round. Maybe he will drop to No. 87 overall in the third round of the draft.

Let’s see how will the Patriots handle this draft. Belichick knows how to make the right picks. He will do something to get the best players on his roster. He needs to win, remember?
