Rob Gronkowski’s Comeback, Trade To Bucks Benefits Patriots

One day, Rob Gronkowski went to head coach Bill Belichick and Patriots owner Robert Kraft and told them that he wants to come back. But, he wanted to return and play with Tom Brady. Yes, this was the only way to see Gronk back on the field. Brady was the only quarterback he wanted to play with. The Bucs trade was great for the Patriots, and fans have started asking questions.

According to most analysts, Gronk’s unretirement will bring benefits to his former and current team. Gronk will join his former teammate. He and Brady won six Super Bowls together. Their reunion in Tampa brought joy to many NFL fans. Will they win another title together?

A good trade for the Patriots

Brady’s departure from Foxboro last month shut down every chance to see Gronk put on a Patriots uniform. In 2018, after rejecting a trade to the Detroit Lions, Gronk said he would retire before he caught passes from another signal-caller.

“Brady’s my quarterback,” Gronk said back then. “That’s all. I wasn’t going anywhere without Brady.”

Gronk would never come back to the Patriots. Keeping him under contract didn’t bring a benefit to the Patriots. He was of no value for the team. Trading Gronk to an NFC team that won’t come to Foxboro this season makes sense. In other words, the Patriots will be able to acquire a 2020 draft pick for free.

The Patriots will send Gronk and a seventh-round pick in return for a fourth-round selection. This may be a No. 117 or No. 139.

Brady and Gronk will join forces in Tampa. Some say that this was one of the conditions Brady had for his team. During his talks with NFL teams, he said that he wants Gronk to join him. It looks like this condition worked for the Bucs. New England and Tampa didn’t make any comments on this trade. As Ian Rapoport reported, the whole thing developed within a few minutes from the first rumor that got to him. Within 6 minutes, Rapoport found out that the Bucs were working on a deal and that Gronk had finished his physical.
