Stephen Gostkowski Reveals One Siver Lining About Living Patriots

The New England Patriots lost Tom Brady in free agency. But, the GOAT isn’t the only valuable player New England lost. The Patriots will play their first season without Brady and Stephen Gostkowski. He’s been part of the team for a long time. Let’s not forget that he joined the team in 2005. Gowskowski has four Pro Bowl selections and three Super Bowl titles during his time with the Patriots. New England cut him on March 23.

Gostkowski went on NBC Sports Boston’s “Patriots Talk Podcast” and talked to Tom E. Curran. He will play in the upcoming campaign. Leaving the Patriots has helped him look back on the team and appreciate all the things he learned so far.

“We’ve been so successful as a team, there’s nothing for me to complain about,” Gostkowski said. ” … We have had it really good and finally being done with the Patriots it’s fun to actually look back at it and be able to talk about it in a positive way. Because when you’re in it and in the mode, you can never like, sit back and pat yourself on the back or talk about how good it was because you’d win, get drunk at the parade and after that you’re like, ‘OK, can’t talk about it anymore.’ It’s fun to look back and everything I look back at is all positive memories.”

Stephen Gostkowski left a void

Gostkowski is no longer a Patriot, and the team will probably go after a kicker in the 2020 NFL Draft later this month.

The Patriots lost a group of key players, and head coach Bill Belichick will have to work really hard to fill up the voids left by these players. Although New England is packed with great players, playing without Brady, Gostkowski and the rest of the guys will give Belichick a headache. He lost the GOAT. That’s not something you ignore. But, the McCourty twins are positive about the upcoming season. They believe the Patriots will have enough strength to chase a title in 2020. Let’s see what happens in September. It’s a big season for the Patriots.
