Rob Gronkowski may no longer be a professional football player, but he still manages to find a way to entertain his fans. We’re used to seeing Gronk and his New England Patriots on Sundays. The tight end decided to put an end to his professional career a year ago. Many have come up with rumors about his next career plan. Some said Gronk would re-sign with the Patriots. Others thought he’d join the marketing industry. Well, Gronk joined FOX and now he became part of the WWE world. Gronk hosts WrestleMania 36 alongside WWE superstar Mojo Rawley.
As you may be guessing, Gronk had all the strength and energy he needed to start off the two-night event.
“[WWE] picked the right guy [to host WrestleMania], because I know how to start a party on a Saturday night and end it 30 hours later,” the tight end said in his introduction.
WrestleMania 36 is different
WrestleMania 36 took place under special circumstances. The event was held at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. Fans weren’t allowed to attend the event. So, there was no live audience, and the show is taking place over two nights with eight matches on Saturday followed by another eight on Sunday.
There was a big surprise in the tag team championship. At this moment, it will be defended by only one member of each team. The Miz is out of action as Morrison’s tag partner. How will that thing end? We don’t know.
Kofi Kingston won the world title against Daniel Bryan at the 2019 event. He is set to represent the New Day. Jimmy Uso is representing the Uso brothers.
In the main event, we will see Bill Goldberg and Braun Strowman. He comes as a replacement for Roman Reigns who stepped back from WrestleMania 36 due to the coronavirus.
WWE executive and former champion Triple H explained that the nation needs all the entertainment it can get in these hard times. There’s something about the energy this show brings. This event helps us forget about all the bad things that happen around us. We are unable to leave the house, so yes, we can really have fun this way.
