Edelman is a key player for the New England Patriots, and he will be the veteran leader for the team now. Tom Brady is out now, and Edelman will have to lead his younger teammates throughout the season.

Head coach Bill Belichick has nothing but words of praise for the talented wideout. According to him, Edelman has worked harder than any other player he has seen on the field. That’s probably the best compliment a player can get from the coach.

Edelman turns 34, and he will enter the 2020 season without Tom Brady. TB12 and Edelman were the best quarterback-receiver duo in the NFL, and many players tried to reach that. Well, you can’t really be as awesome as Brady and his favorite target. Brady signed a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite the fact that Edelman tried to keep him in New England.

2019 was an excellent season for the Patriots wide receiver. He had a stellar performance, and he helped the team win the Super Bowl. Edelman was actually the Super Bowl MVP. He finished the 2019 season with 100 receptions for 1,117 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Edelman finished the season as the top-five receiver in routes, targets, receptions and OTD.

Edelman ranked the highest in his football career as the seventh-best fantasy receiver in 2019. He may not hit these numbers with Jarrett Stidham as a starting quarterback for the team. Brady had to rely on Edelman in 2019, and he didn’t really get a lot of help from his other teammates. Many would agree that it was a two-man game.

ESPN projected that Edelman will finish the 2020 season with 79 receptions for 918 yards and six scores.
