Report: Patriots Lose College Scouting Director To Titans

The New England Patriots will enter the 2020 season with a different roster. They will also enter the new season with a new college scouting director. Patriots director of college scouting Monti Ossenfort left the organization to join the Tennessee Titans.

Ossenfort will be the Titans’ director of player personnel as confirmed in Albert Breer’s report.

Ossenfort’s contract with the Patriots had already expired, and the team has even found a replacement. He was part of the Patriots family for 15 seasons. Ossenfort was responsible for the Patriots college scouting operation for six seasons.

The Tennessee Titans have snatched a lot of former Patriots in the past few seasons. Titans general manager Jon Robinson was a scout for the Patriots. Head coach Mike Vrabel was winning games as a Patriots player. They both won several Super Bowls with the team.

The Titans also signed several former Patriots players during Robinson’s time in the organization. They offered deals to Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan, Dion Lewis, Josh Kline and Matt Cassel. Robinson was the Patriots’ previous director of college scouting. He has this position in the period between 2009 and 2013, and then joined the Patriots.

The Patriots found a replacement for the college scouting director

The Patriots promoted Ossenfort before the 2014 season. Before letting Ossenfort join the Titans, New England hired former Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns executive Eliot Wolf to add a nice boost to their personnel department.

This is one of the many changes New England has made in the past month. First, they lost Tom Brady and figured out they’d be better with Jarrett Stidham than any other new player. The team also signed a bunch of talented players in the 2020 NFL Draft, but didn’t get a quarterback. This only confirms the rumors that Stidham has everything Belichick needs to play his games in September. Maybe he will “tank” the season, who knows…

The Patriots have a challenging season waiting for them, but Belichick is confident about his success. Brady has already met his new team, and he even wearing their T-shirts. You saw those pics, right? Well, we definitely won’t miss the start of the regular season.
