Isaiah Thomas’ Father’s Day Tweet About Kobe Bryant Will Break Your Heart

Point guard Isaiah Thomas wrote a Father’s Day tweet honoring Kobe Bryant, and he made everyone cry.

Isaiah’s tweet came like a surprise to everyone. We all knew that he considered the Black Mamba a mentor and role model. But this tweet was just too much for us in these hard times. Isaiah used to text Kobe on Father’s Day, and the Los Angeles Lakers icon would text back.

Thomas was sending Father’s Day tweet every year

Kobe was a proud dad of four lovely girls, and Thomas’ tweet made us think of the kids who got to spend the big day for the first time without their dad. Every NBA fan feels the same and we all miss Kobe.

The Black Mamba and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash outside Los Angeles. The deadly crash shocked the entire world on January 26. There are no survivors. All nine people lost their lives that day.

Kobe’s wife, Vanessa, struggles to cope with reality. Her daughters won’t get to celebrate this wonderful day with their awesome dad. It’s a sad day for the Bryant family. Kobe was the pillar of the family and he made great impact as a parental figure. The same happened in the NBA. Kobe was a mentor of many young players. They all learned from him and he enjoyed every bit of his mentoring. Young basketball players looked up to the Lakers icon. Pretty much everyone got to think of Kobe today. He was like a father to many youngsters.

Thomas was a big fan of Kobe, and they built a strong relationship throughout the years. We saw Thomas in Kobe’s “Mamba Camp” last summer. Kobe was his greatest supporter in 2017. Thomas sustained a terrible injury. The great Kobe was also here when Thomas’ sister died. So yes, they were really close and Thomas wrote that tweet for a really good reason.

Kobe was an awesome #GirlDad, and from what we can see, he was a “basketball dad” too. We all miss him and we send our thoughts and prayers to his lovely family. May he rest in peace.
