LeBron James Might be Laying The Groundwork to Land a Big-Name Free Agent

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is making headlines with one of his former teammates and potential free agent. NBA fans have already started talking about the four-time champion. Is LeBron up to bringing another former teammate in Los Angeles? The Los Angeles Lakers won the 2020 NBA Championship, and the front office is already planning the upcoming season. Several veterans are set to test the open market. This includes Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Rajon Rondo, and a few other players.

LeBron is staying in LA, and the first thing he will try to do is keep Anthony Davis on the roster. He will also help the front office in the construction of the perfect roster.

The two superstars overcame a 3-1 deficit in the 2016 NBA Finals. They defeated Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. King James led the Cavaliers throughout the series and Thompson was of great help in the process. The Warriors had too much talent on the roster, but Cleveland was a dominant force.

When it comes to LeBron and Thompson, they made four Finals appearances. Thompson has averaged 7.7 points and 8.5 rebounds per playoff game.

The 29-year-old may decide to test the open market this offseason. Cleveland is rebuilding the roster right now, and there are several big players on it.
