Chase Winovich Pays Pays Strange Tribute To Patriots Players Opting Out Of Season

Chase Winovich had a hilarious reaction to all the Patriots players opting out of the 2020 NFL season. Dont’a Hightower and Patrick Chung won’t join the New England Patriots in 2020. A group of players will opt out of the 2020 season due to concerns about the coronavirus pandemic. The second-year edge rusher took to his Twitter account to share his take on the latest events in New England.

“Pouring a glass of milk out for the boys who can’t be with us out on the field this year,” the edge rusher tweeted.

Some would say that this isn’t the right way to use milk, adding that this is nothing but a waste of milk. Well, Winovich has a right to say whatever he wants. There’s a backup story behind this, and this may be an internal joke. Who knows…

The Patriots will have to make a decision about players opting out

Chung has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Patriots in May. He will receive a $2 million signing bonus and a base salary of $1.1 million. This move was supposed to give the Patriots the much-needed salary-cap space. Chung is a key contributor on the field and he has a great role, just like Devin McCourty. The veteran was set to enter the 12th NFL season. He spent 11 of these seasons with the Patriots. Chung’s ability to play closer to the line of scrimmage and join forces with opposing tight ends gave Belichick the flexibility he covets.

Chung and Hightower talked about their kids. The latter had his baby on July 16, and Chung is expecting his second child. His void will give Kyle Dugger a big chance to prove his skills. This is an empty spot and Dugger has an opportunity to play his best football.

When it comes to all the players opting out, at least one NFL executive said that head coach Bill Belichick has a plan. According to one of the theories, Belichick plans to tank the regular season just to get Trevor Lawrence in the 2021 NFL Draft.
