New England Patriots wideout Julian Edelman joined the sea of athletes who paid tribute to Chadwick Boseman following his death. The death of the actor was shocked by Boseman’s death. He took to his Instagram stories to honor Boseman. The actor died Friday after a four-year battle with colon cancer. Boseman was diagnosed with the disease in 2016.

“This man changed the world while battling stage 4,” the veteran wideout wrote on Instagram.

This reaction is one of the many from top names across the sports world. NBA players on Saturday held a moment of silence before the games for Boseman. Cliff Robinson and Lute Olson had their share, too.

Julian Edelman and many other athletes respect Chadwick Boseman

The world will remember Boseman for playing King T’Challa in “Black Panther” and Jackie Robinson in “42.”

ABC will show the 2018 movie Black Panther without commercials on Sunday night. There will also be an ABC News special “Chadwick Boseman: A Tribute for a King.” The Walt Disney Co. said in a statement that their special will “celebrate Boseman’s storied life, legacy and career,” adding that they will “shine a light on the medical condition he privately battled.”

Boseman starred in the great movie which won three Academy Awards. He played T’Challa in three other Marvel films. The great actor was getting ready to reprise the role in a Black Panther sequel.

We watched Boseman play iconic singer James Brown in Get on Up and appeared in Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods.

This is just another tragedy in 2020. This year shocked the world in multiple ways. We lost great stars. Kobe Bryant’s death was the first tragedy this world had to deal with. The coronavirus pandemic locked us inside our homes.  Losing King T’Challa was the last drop. We’re living in a horrible world and the only thing we can do is stay strong and support each other.

Edelman and his Patriots are getting ready for the 2020 season. The veteran will lead his team into the most challenging season in team history.
