Cam Newton has finally arrived at Gillette Stadium. The 2020 NFL season still feels so far away. With the COVID-19 situation growing worse instead of better, many people are questioning whether or not there will be a season at all. It seems like everyone will want the season to be played as normal.

Now that Tom Brady has officially left the New England Patriots, it is up for someone else to take his place. This is definitely easier said than done. Brady is arguably the best quarterback in NFL history, so all eyes are going to be on his replacement when the time comes.

It now sounds like Cam Newton will be the man for the job. Most people think that the new signee is going to be the one in the starting position. This picture that he posted only confirms what everyone was thinking.

Cam Newton was a stud in college and was picked up at the number 1 draft pick. But things did take a turn when he got to the NFL. He has been plagued by injuries his entire career.

Even so, head coach Bill Belichick thinks he has the right man for the job.

“We felt like this was the best option for our team, so that’s why we did it,” Belichick said.

He went on “Things worked out. We spent quite a bit of time with Cam, and he spent quite a bit of time with us. I think it was a mutual interest. We spent quite a bit of – a number of different people and a number of different conversations, just trying to see how the fit would be. It was very positive on our end. I’m glad it worked out.”

It sounds like some high praise. But is it the right fit?

“I think that’s about the same as all the other spots on the team,” Belichick said. “We got a long way to go and we’ll see how things turn out. I can’t control how players perform – that’s up to them. We’ll give everybody an opportunity and see what happens. So, we don’t know.”
