Story Behind LeBron James and Obama Teaming Up to Save The 2020 NBA Playoffs

The Milwaukee Bucks were the first team to boycott Game 5 of the first-round playoff series. Other teams boycotted games, including the Los Angeles Lakers. This was their way of delivering a message. Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is now joining forces with Obama, and fans have started asking questions about the 2020 playoffs.

Basketball players have had a lot of theories regarding the playoff run. Things changed overnight, but players returned to the floor to finish the first round. LeBron’s team defeated the Portland Trail Blazers and advanced to the second round of the playoffs.

King James has been vocal in the fight against police injustice and systemic racism. He uses his social media to communicate with fans and deliver a message. Police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin, shot Jacob Blake in the back, leaving him paralyzed for the waist down.

“And y’all wonder why we say what we say about the Police!! Someone please tell me WTF is this???!!! Exactly another black man being targeted. This sh-t is so wrong and so sad!! Feel so sorry for him, his family and OUR PEOPLE!! We want JUSTICE.”

LeBron can’t really ignore the situation, leaving fans speechless. The Bucks boycotted the game and delivered a really bold message in the name of many basketball players. LeBron seeks change, and he won’t give up without a good fight. The world needs more people like him.

LeBron to finish 2020 playoffs

Former president of the US Barack Obama discussed the latest events in the basketball world.

“I commend the players on the Bucks for standing up for what they believe in, coaches like Doc Rivers, and the NBA and WNBA for setting an example. It’s going to take all our institutions to stand up for our values.”

Obama contacted players, encouraging them to continue playing.

The NBA and players union released a statement confirming the return of games.

“These commitments follow months of close collaboration around designing a safe and healthy environment to restart the NBA season, providing a platform to promote social justice, as well as creating an NBA Foundation focused on economic empowerment in the Black community,” the statement read. “We look forward to the resumption of the playoffs and continuing to work together — in Orlando and in all NBA team markets — to push for meaningful and sustainable change.”
