LA needs another epic pass from JaVale McGee

McGee was set to start the game against the Indiana Pacers, but he didn’t play against the Houston Rockets. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel added him to the starting five Saturday. In Orlando, McGee is averaging 3.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 14.3 minutes on the floor.

Vogel made McGee inactive in the game against Houston. Why did he make such a move? The Lakers big man was benched and maybe this was more like an experiment for the team. The Lakers moved on with a smaller lineup against the Rockets who didn’t start their big men.

LA had a slow start in almost every game in Orlando. Vogel made McGee inactive because the starting group of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Danny Green, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and McGee was outscored by 30.1 points per 100 possessions.

Things changed a lot in the last two games and the Lakers offense improved significantly. Let’s see how will the team finish the playoff run. It’s a big season for the team and they won’t go home without a title.
