Watch: LeBron James Disgusted With JR Smith After Botched Defensive Assignment

LeBron James and JR Smith have once again had a bit of an argument. This is not a rare thing, it seems. LeBron is one of the best in the world and definitely expects that from his teammates as well. The Los Angeles Lakers, for what its worth, won the game three in yet another blow out. Many people questioned their ability to go very far in the playoffs after they lost game one against the Portland Trail Blazers.

However, since the loss, they have gone 3-0 and won it pretty impressive fashion. They are once again looking like a number one seed. LeBron James and Anthony Davis have a lot to due with the success, as they should. And they also hold their teammates to a very high standard.

This is even more true for J.R. Smith. He very famously incorrectly remembered the score in Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals while playing for Cleveland with LeBron.

Now that they are once again playing together in LA, it seems like some things just don’t really change.

James was noticeably angry with a missed defensive assignment from JR on Monday night. The Lakers ended up winning 135-115 over the Portland Trail Blazers. It is safe to say that the missed assignment did not cause any lasting problems.

While the team obviously took an easy victory, James wanted to make sure that everyone was focused for the whole game, even if they were ahead.

However, after the game, James instead talked about the shooting of yet another black man by police.

“I can’t even enjoy a playoff win right now, which is the sad part,” he said. “We are scared as black people in America. Black men, black women, black kids. We are, we are terrified.

“Having two boys of my own and me being an African-American in America, to see what continues to happen with police brutality towards my kind, to continue to see the injustice, it is very troubling.

“My prayers go out to [the Blake] family and hopefully we can have some change. I believe it starts with [the US election in] November. That’s why I started the initiative I am doing with More Than A Vote, getting people to understand what is really at risk. We continue to talk about change and we have the opportunity to make change but it doesn’t stop there, whoever comes next [in the White House].”
