Cam Newton Reveals Nicknames For Damiere Byrd, Jakobi Meyers, And They’re Wild

Cam Newton has a few more nicknames for teammates. Newton has been pretty big so far for the Patriots. The New England Patriots were busy this off season, trying to sign people who they think will be huge for the tram moving forward. For the most part, it looks like it has worked. The offense has been quite a bit better so far this season. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Head coach Bill Belicheck has talked about Cam Newton in the past. It sounds like he has been very impress with what he has seen so far. Take a look at the compliments that he gave Newton earlier this off season.

“He’s come in and do everything we’ve asked him to do,” Belichick said previously. “He works had. He’s obviously a very talented player and looking forward to continue to work with him. We’ll just take it day-by-day, but he’s given us everything he’s had and we’ve tried to put the team in the best position we can competitively. We’ll see how that all comes out. I’m sure a lot of things will change as the season goes along. We are where we are for right now and just keep trying to get better every day.”

And it sounds like Newton is getting along quite well with his new teammates in New England. So much so, in fact, that he is now giving out nicknames to some of them. Take a look at the ones that he has so far.

We don’t know how he came out with these nicknames and I think it is better if we just leave it that way. But what this means, is that he is building chemistry with his teammates which could be huge for the play on the field.

Julian Edelman has already come out with some good words on Newton.

“He came in with an energy, he came in with a purpose, and he came in as a natural leader and that’s what you want to see at that position,” the 34-year-old receiver said of Newton. “It’s one of those things where you’re excited for it because now we can get it going.”
