Frank Vogel Provides Critical Update on LeBron James’ Injury for Game 2

Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel provided an update on LeBron James and the injury he sustained in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. King James twisted his ankle in the win over the Denver Nuggets. It was a big scare for the Lakers fanbase.

This didn’t stop the four-time NBA MVP finish the game with a win. LeBron scored 15 points, six rebounds, and 12 assists in the 126-114 win over Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets.

Vogel talked about LeBron’s status for Sunday’s game. From what we can see, the king is ready to take the floor and win another game. LA is three series away from making the NBA Finals. That would be LeBron’s 10th Finals appearance.

An ankle injury won’t stop LeBron in his efforts to win a championship. He has been playing through worse injuries. Remember the times when LeBron played with a fractured hand? Yes, he can do that and much more.

Vogel is not worried about LeBron and his injury

Head coach Vogel is impressed with LeBron’s skills and the dominance he brings to the floor. He is averaging 25.5 points, 9.9 rebounds and 9.1 assists per playoff game with the Lakers. That’s more than impressive but sadly, LeBron got just first-place votes in the MVP voting. Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo snatched the award for the second straight season.

LeBron is on to Game 2 against Denver, and he is well aware of the challenge his opponents bring. Lakers players did their best in the first game of the series, and they will need to repeat that. The Nuggets were able to defeat their city rivals, but that doesn’t mean they are ready to challenge King James, Anthony Davis, and the rest of the players on the Lakers roster.

It’s a rocky postseason, and players have to play under special circumstances. Being inside the NBA bubble is really hard as they don’t really have any activities besides their workouts and games. Some of the players have invited their families over, but LeBron didn’t get his kids. Savannah joined him inside the bubble though.
