The Los Angeles Lakers traded for Anthony Davis to give LeBron James a chance to build the strongest duo in the league. It was a really bold move, and the Lakers pulled the right strings at the right time. Well, the team had to lose a handful of players to get the big man but it was definitely worth it. Davis helped LeBron and his teammates to win the 17th title in team history.

In one of his recent interviews, Davis reflected on his relationship with the king of basketball. Believe it or not, LeBron is ready to pass the torch, giving Davis a chance to sit on his throne. According to Davis, LeBron knows it’d be in great hands.

“This is your team. This is your time,” LeBron told the Lakers big man. “I’m good. If I retired today, I’m fine.”

There’s no room for panic. LeBron is not retiring. He won’t retire in the next few years. The four-time NBA champion has so much to offer and he is definitely prepared for the upcoming season. Most NBA analysts would agree that LeBron will win a few more titles.

LeBron was leading the NBA in assists in 2020. He is 35, and his basketball is still strong.

Davis led the Lakers in points and rebounds. He had a really good game with the Lakers this season. It was much better than the game he had with the New Orleans Pelicans in the first seasons of his basketball career.

LA will probably try to add another superstar to the roster. LeBron and Davis will take the leading position, but some of the veterans may go. Keeping Davis on the roster is a priority now.
