Patriots Insider Calls For Team to Add Star WR in Blockbuster Trade

A certain New England Patriots insider has called for the team to add a star wide receiver in what would be a blockbuster trade. The Patriots are coming off of a disappointing loss against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. The game was originally supposed to be played on Sunday. But it was pushed to Monday due to a positive COVID test from Cam Newton.

This meant that Newton would not be able to play in the game which was a huge loss for the Patriots. It was quite obvious that the team was not ready to success under their back up quarterback. This is one of the main reasons why they lost. And it was not surprising. After what we have seen from Newton and what we have heard about him. What did people expect?

Just take a look at what Bill Belichick has said about him in the past.

“I think when you’re talking about mobile quarterbacks — guys that are tough to handle, can throw, run, make good decisions … — I would put him at the top of the list.  “Not saying there aren’t a lot of other good players that do that, but I would say of all the guys we played recently in the last couple of years, I think he’s the hardest guy to (defend).”

“He makes good decisions, can run. He’s strong. He’s hard to tackle. He can do a lot of different things. He can beat you in a lot of different ways. We saw that in the game in 2013. I would put him at the top of the list. I’m not saying the other guys aren’t a problem, because they are. But he’s maybe public enemy No. 1.”

But apparently they have not been playing well enough for one Patriots insider.

He wants a big blockbuster trade from Belichick. Bill Belichick, “Please Rescue Allen Robinson From Chicago.”

This would be a huge get for the Patriots. But it would also mean that they would have to give something up for him. But that does not mean it would be impossible.
