The Los Angeles Lakers promised to pay tribute to late NBA legend Kobe Bryant during their time inside the Orlando bubble. LA made the NBA Finals and players are getting ready for Game 4 against the Miami Heat. Well, LeBron James thought it was the perfect time to wear his Kobe Bryant shirt. How amazing is that?
LA players honored the Black Mamba on multiple occasions. They wore their black jerseys trimmed in gold with a snakeskin print on the exterior. The Black Mamba jerseys are the perfect way to honor the great legend. Kobe Bryant signed the design and now players wear the jerseys for him.
“We never want to lose in these jerseys,” Anthony Davis said.

Lakers players don’t want to lose in any jersey. But losing in the Black Mamba uniform would definitely feel like they are letting Kobe down. The tribute jersey is one of the many ways that Kobe’s fingerprints are all over the finals in Orlando. This is the first title series since Kobe’s death.
The Lakers legend, his daughter Gigi and seven others, including the pilot, died in a helicopter crash Jan. 26.
Lakers players have a huge motivation on their mind. They want to win the series for Kobe. Winning a title would be the best way to honor Kobe.
“They’ve got something special that they want to do. You can’t deny that,” Miami center Bam Adebayo said. “It’s not shocking that he passes away and that becomes their motivation to win the NBA championship and be in the finals. It’s not weird at all. I want to win and do it for Kobe too … so I understand.”
Adebayo grew up idolizing Kobe. His favorite souvenir from the All-Star weekend was the Kobe Bryant jersey all players received. His favorite sneakers are the purple and gold Kobe 5’s. That’s why Adebayo understands LA players. He is well aware of their motivation to win.
