Bill Belichick Gives For Outgoing Patriots QBs Coach Jedd Fisch

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick had words of praise for Jedd Fisch. The University of Arizona confirmed Fisch’s hiring as the new head coach. Coach Belichick shared his thoughts on Fisch. He served as the Patriots’ quarterbacks coach last winter.

Jedd Fisch is one of the most outstanding coaches I have worked with and was an excellent addition to our staff this year. Jedd has gained a wealth of experience in numerous organizations, in college and the NFL, and is ready to lead the Arizona program. Although we will miss his contributions here, we wish Jedd and Amber well at the University of Arizona, home to two of the greatest Patriots, Tedy Bruschi and Rob Gronkowski, as well as our current Wildcats, Nick Folk and J.J. Taylor.”

Patriots to lose Jedd Fisch and other coaches

Arizona offered Fisch the job after his interview Monday. Let’s not forget that this is Fisch’s first permanent head-coaching job. He is 44 and getting a new job is definitely a good thing for him.

Fisch has spent time with many many teams at the college and NFL organizations. Many thought that Fisch would gladly replace offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels this season. The same people also say that McDaniels will accept a head coaching job in the NFL.

We don’t know if McDaniels will be making his way to another NFL team. Head coach Bill Belichick doesn’t want to let him go. NFL experts have linked McDaniels to the Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, and Houston Texans. These teams have fired their head coaches and McDaniels is definitely a good option.

Running backs coach Ivan Fears, tight ends coach Nick Caley, wide receivers coach Mick Lombardi, co-offensive line coaches Carmen Bricillo and Cole Popovich, assistant running backs/kick returners coach Troy Brown and offensive assistant Tyler Hughes are part of the Patriots offensive staff below McDaniels.

If McDaniels signs with a different team, Belichick will have to find a good replacement. McDaniels has been part of the Patriots family for a really long time. Letting him go would be really hard. But, things may get really messy for the Patriots following McDaniels’ potential departure.
