LeBron James Has Telling Comments About Anthony Davis

The Los Angeles Lakers are entering the regular season in two days and players are more than ready for another season. Four-time NBA champion LeBron James has something to say about his teammate, Anthony Davis and their game in the upcoming season.

LA won all four preseason games. AD was brilliant in Friday’s game against the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers big man scored 35 points in 30 minutes and hit the buzzer-beater three to end the third quarter. King James had great words for his teammate. AD is a real superstar and LeBron knows it.

“He wants to be one of the best,” LeBron said Friday. “We know that championships is the holy grail in this league … His confidence is out the roof and it’s up to us as his teammates to continue to help his confidence continue to soar.”

LeBron James, Lakers players praise Anthony Davis

Davis won his first ring in October and signed a big five-year deal with the Lakers. It’s an excellent motivation for the talented player and he is ready to win his second ring. Yes, Davis may also go after his MVP award.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope gave King James and AD credit for their leadership.

“We got our leaders, Bron and A.D.,” KCP said. “Their mindset is like, ‘Man, we don’t care if it’s the preseason. We wanna get out there and get after it.’ And four days from now, the regular season starts, and we’re gonna be ready.”

LA has two superstars leading the way and they look really good right now. This Lakers team is much different than anything we have seen before.

Lakers players had a really short offseason. Will this affect their game on the floor? According to LeBron, his teammates should look at the season as if it was a marathon.

“We’re a marathon team, we understand that, we’re not in a sprint,” the four-time NBA champion said. “I don’t think that it’s gonna be a fine line. I listen to my body, I listen to Mike Mancias, my trainer, I listen to the coaching staff, obviously listen to Frank, and I listen to my teammates as well. And go from there.”
