Report: Adam Gase Could End Up on Bill Belichick’s Staff in New England Next Season

Adam Gase may leave the New York Jets and then join the New England Patriots. If the team parts ways with Gase at the end of 2020, he may head to New England. Gase can easily join the New England Patriots and work with head coach Bill Belichick. Albert Breer from The MMQB confirmed the big news.

New England may need a quarterback coach for the upcoming season. Jedd Fisch left the team to accept a coaching job at Arizona. Of course, the team may also need an offensive coordinator. Josh McDaniels may soon accent a head coaching job in the league.

Adam Gase may come to New England

Gase may join the Patriots’ coaching staff in 2021. Breer’s Monday column confirms the big news. New York may soon get rid of Gase, opening his way to New England. Truth is, Gase can easily join forces with coach Belichick. There are two options. Gase may be the Patriots quarterback coach or their offensive coordinator.

Breer is convinced that Browns assistant/former Patriots wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea and current Patriots tight end coach Nick Caley may become the Patriots quarterback coach or offensive coordinator.

Gase and McDaniels have spent a lot of time together. They were assistsnts on Nick Saban’s Michigan State team in 1999. Gase was also McDaniels’ wideout coach on the Broncos in 2009 and 2010. These two can work together if Gase adds up to this reputation.

The coach became Denver’s offensive coordinator in 2013. Peyton Manning broke several passing records for the team back then. However, he saw some struggles as head coach and went 32-47 with the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets. The Jets have a 2-13 record at this point of the season.

When it comes to the Patriots, they are well out of the playoffs this year. Head coach Belichick will have to make a few changes this season, and he will have to find the best quarterback for the team in 2021. Cam Newton may be making his way out of New England and he will probably have to find other home in the NFL.
