Report: Cam Newton is Asking for ‘Accountability Partners’

Veteran quarterback Cam Newton is pretty serious about his career, and now he is asking for something special.

The 2015 NFL MVP is trying to lose 20 points before the start of the 2021 NFL season. Things got pretty hot and serious, and the quarterback even took to his Instagram account to ask fans to be his “accountability partners” throughout the entire journey. Talk about commitment!

Who will join the veteran quarterback on his 31 days of fitness? Newton is asking for 31 minutes, and most of us have the time. Yes, don’t even try to convince yourself that you don’t have free time.

“Accountable” was synonymous with the quarterback in 2020. He signed a one-year deal with the Patriots and defeated Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer in training camp. Head coach Bill Belichick made him compete with Stidham and Hoyer, and Newton got the job.

Cam Newton is asking for a favor

He had a speedy start and analysts were impressed with his game. However, Newton got COVID and his performance declined.  New England missed the entire postseason for the first time since the 2012 season. Guess what… Newton didn’t even make any excuses for his terrible season.

Newton lacked weapons and his passing game was bad. The Patriots had restricted gameplan, but Newton didn’t throw his teammates and coaches under the bus. He took all the blame. Media members and fans said he was responsible for the terrible season.

Newton was really open and his availability impressed a lot of people. He had the best interviews in sports in 2020. Some fans really hope to see Newton back on the field.

The quarterback is entering free agency on March 17. He may have a chance to return to the Patriots. He promised to make some big changes, and we are looking forward to witnessing that.

Losing weight seens like a good idea at the moment.

Newton looks great at the moment and head coach Belichick likes him. Maybe Newton will get a second chance to lead the Patriots to the playoffs in 2021. Let’s see what happens next.
