Bill Belichick Issues Emphatic Reminder To Patriots During Locker Room Celebration

The New England Patriots beat the Buffalo Bills despite the bad weather. Buffalo winds had nothing on Patriots players. Wonder why? They are prepared for this type of weather. Head coach Bill Belichick addressed the weather during his locker room speech.

“That’s why we practice in this (expletive)” Belichick told his players.

He is absolutely right. Patriots players have no days off and they always practice outdoors. Wind, snow, rain… They can handle it all. Belichick keeps them working out in pretty much every type of weather you can think of. The Patriots head coach prepares players for the worst weather just by forcing them to work out outside the practice facility. Nothing can surprise the Patriots.

Bill Belichick fired up the locker room

Rookie quarterback Mac Jones is a Florida native but he doesn’t need more time to adjust to the weather in Foxboro. “It’s just a mindset.” Remember that one?

Many thought that Patriots kickers will struggle to make an impact. Yes, special teams had some obstacles to overcome. Nick Folk was brilliant. Damien Harris was magnificent. Rhamondre Stevenson did a good job as well. New England finished the highly-anticipated game with a 14-10 win. A lot of people thought that Belichick and his players won’t be able to beat the Bills. New England dominates the division.

Patriots captain Matthew Slater delivered his usual speech. He knows that his teammates will never remember the cold weather. They will always remember their win. It was a good win. Everyone worked really hard to get here.

“Tonight, though, is one of those nights, fellas, that you’ll remember 10, 15, 20 years from now,” Slater said. “You won’t remember the cold — you’ll remember the way we responded. It ain’t gonna come to us easy, fellas, we’re gonna have to fight and claw and scrap.

“… Monday night; Buffalo; snow; wind; a hostile environment — nonetheless, how do we feel about a Monda night victory?”

It’s time to get some rest. Patriots earned their bye week and players will have enough time to rest. The Indianapolis Colts are next on the list.
