Andre Drummond Looking Healthy as he Participates in Lakers Practice

The Los Angeles Lakers are without superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Both superstars are expected to miss significant time. AD hasn’t played since mid-February. LeBron has been out since the game against the Atlanta Hawks. Andre Drummond missed a couple of games, but he took part in the recent Lakers practice.

Drummond suffered an injury in his debut with the team. The Lakers were playing against the Milwaukee Bucks and one of the players stepped on his foot. The big man lost a toenail in the process.

According to recent reports, Drummond has recovered from his toe injury. He looked healthy and strong and he may return to the floor sooner than expected. Initial reports suggested that Drummond would miss at least a couple of games.

The Lakers got Drummond through the buyout market a week ago. He had his debut against the Bucks but left the game in the seconf half. The big man felt discomfort days. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel revealed that Drummond couldn’t even put a shoe on. He didn’t have his shoes on in the postgame press-conference.

Drummond is the ultimate rebounder in the NBA. He didn’t show off in the first game with the team. LA could really use his rebounding skills. The big man offers great defense and excellent overall activity. That’s why general manager Rob Pelinka got him in the first place. Drummond can help his new teammates on the offensive side of the ball, too.

In his career, Drummond is averaging 14.6 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game.

LA has the right mindset for the future. They are in the middle of a seven-game road trip. The Toronto Raptors are next on the list.

LeBron is nurturing his high-ankle strain. AD is working on his strained calf. He has had some on-court activities but has a long way to go.

Let’s see how will the Lakers handle the next few games. They have a packed schedule and their games are pretty tough. But, Drummond will soon return and LA will have a bigger chance to win.
