Anthony Davis Admits He’s ‘Hurting’ After Lakers Win vs. Knicks, Indicates he Could Miss Game vs. Rockets

Big man Anthony Davis may miss more games and Lakers fans are worried. The veteran has already missed a lot of games. He may have to sit out the upcoming match against the Houston Rockets.

AD helped the Lakers defeat the New York Knicks on Tuesday night. He played a lot of minutes in the 101-99 win. It was an important game for the Lakers as they need to win more games. If this doesn’t happen, the Lakers will have to take part in the play-in tournament.

Unfortunately, AD may not play on Wednesday. He is hurting and we are worried.

“I’m hurting,” Davis said. “Not more so my body, just my groin got tight. … I’m not sure about [Wednesday]. I mean, I’m going to get treatment and see how I feel. I want to say I’m going to play, but it was really bothering me tonight. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow, and then later on in the day.

“Very, very strong possibility that I fight through it and play since the next day is an off day. But I also don’t want to have this lagging and then now I’m out for a couple games.”

Anthony Davis has to get ready for the Lakers postseason

The Lakers big man missed 30 games from Valentine’s Day. He suffered a terrible calf strain and NBA experts were worried about the Achilles tendinosis in his right leg. AD returned to game action on April 22. The team struggled to win games, but Davis’ dominance helped the team stay afloat.

LA has three games left in the regular season. They hold the seventh place in the West. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel isn’t worried about the 39-30 record.

Will AD miss more games? Vogel wants him healthy for the postseason. Missing more games may not be the best scenario at the moment, but LA needs a strong veteran in the playoffs.

LA plays against the Rockets on Wednesday night. It’s another important game for the team, but AD may not play.
