Robert Kraft Was Asked Who Patriots Starting QB Should Be

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft talked about the starting QB for the team and fans would love to know if Mac Jones will start games in 2021. Is Cam Newton starting games for the team in the upcoming season?

Head coach Bill Belichick said Newton was the Patriots’ starting quarterback.

“Mac was available at our pick, and he was a guy we spent a lot of time with. Felt like that was the best pick at that time for us,” the Patriots head coach said after the draft. “Look forward to working with him. He’s a smart kid. He’s been in a system that’s similar to ours. We’ve had a lot of good conversations with him. I think he’ll be able to process the offense. It’s obviously going to take a lot of time. See how it goes.

“Cam’s our quarterback. Whatever time Jarrett or Mac are ready to challenge and compete, we’ll see how that goes. But right now for Mac, he’s just got a lot of learning in front of him. I know he’s very anxious to get going and get started on it.”

Kraft is positive about the Patriots starting QB

The Patriots owner answered the same question. His comments for the starting quarterback situation will be making headlines for a really long time.

“We’re excited to have [Mac Jones] but I’m excited to have Cam Newton, too,” Kraft told TMZ Sports, adding: “I pay Bill Belichick a lot of money. He can decide that.”

This is definitely a good response for the Patriots owner. He knows what he is talking about and he really trusts Belichick. We all know that Belichick is the general manager for the team.

The Patriots open their regular season on Sept. 12 and they are playing against the Miami Dolphins. Guess who is coming to town in Week 4? Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be playing against Belichick and the tickets go well above $1,000.
