Damian Lillard’s 3-Word Reaction to Bet of Him Joining The Lakers by Start of Season

Will Damian Lillard ever be a Laker? There are so many questions related to his potential signing with the Los Angeles Lakers. Some fans would even bet that he’d join the purple and gold in the near future.

The Portland Trail Blazers star triggered an avalanche of reactions on social media. He had something planned and fans are trying to read between the lines. One of his tweets caught the attention of NBA fans. What is he trying to say?

Is this a joke? Will Lillard team up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis? The veteran point guard may be joking but one thing stands for sure. His future is hanging in the air and the Lakers are considered an option.

Damian Lillard won’t be a Laker in the near future

In the 2020-21 NBA season, Dame was averaging 28.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game. The veteran shot the ball at a 45.1 percent clip from the field and a 39.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Dame is one of the best shooters in the NBA. He would be an excellent addition for any franchise in the NBA. He can hit shots from any point on the court, giving coaches on opposing teams a real nightmare.

The Lakers played really smart in the offseason and packed the roster with talent. Rob Pelinka traded for Russell Westbrook and signed Carmelo Anthony, Kendrick Nunn, Trevor Ariza, and a few other veterans. These players have enough playoff experience and they’d be excellent additions for the team. LeBron knows these guys really well, and he’d work with them perfectly.

Of course, some NBA analysts criticized the Lakers for building an old roster. LA has the oldest roster in the NBA and Skip Bayless is not a fan. Several analysts have already roasted Pelinka for his choice of players.

That’s not all. The Lakers have another target on the list. Isaiah Thomas hasn’t played in a while and he is a free agent. Maybe he will get the chance to join the oldest team in the NBA. Just kidding. Lakers players are champions. They don’t need Lillard to win a ring.
