Dwyane Wade Provides The Reason For Fans Hating LeBron James’ Move to Miami

LeBron James joined the Miami Heat in 2010. He left the Cleveland Cavaliers to join forces with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, creating the Big 3. This brought his second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers to an end. Fans were furious. LeBron left the team to team up with two great players. Cavs fans were angry. They were burning his jerseys and delivered horrible messages. Messages filled with hate.

In 2010, Ian Thomsen of Sports Illustrated reported the trio set the foundation of Miami’s Big 3 during the All-Star Weekend in Houston in 2006.

LeBron, Wade, and Bosh posed for a Sports Illustrated photo shoot and this time together helped them realize that they would look really good on the same team.

These three players entered the league in the 2003 NBA draft and earned a spot in the Hall of Fame.

All three players entered free agency in July 2010. Wade and Bosh put on Heat were the first to put on Heat jerseys. LeBron made The Decision and traveled all the way to Miami. The Heat look different than any other player in the NBA and some fans didn’t like it.

Fans didn’t like LeBron in Miami

Wade appeared on J.J. Redick’s The Old Man and The Three podcast in August 2020. He answered a few questions about the Big 3 and one of them has something to do with all the disturbing comments fans made regarding LeBron’s departure.

“I definitely feel that the basketball fan base had an idea of how LeBron’s career was supposed to go. It was supposed to go like Michael Jordan’s career. He was supposed to stay in Cleveland his entire time and win six to seven rings. He had other ideas for his career, and people at the time didn’t understand why (he would) do that. They looked at it as a weak move.”

Wade has another theory.

“At that time, liked players to have control. You know, I mean organizations made trades, that’s what happened.”

LeBron is on his third team now and he has won a ring with the Lakers. His team missed the chance to make the NBA Finals last season but LeBron won’t let this happen again.

The Lakers signed a good group of players and LeBron will go after his fifth ring.
