Russell Westbrook Shares Hype 2-Word Introductory Message to Dwight Howard

Russell Westbrook, Dwight Howard, and a handful of veterans joined the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason. The front office made a lot of great additions. It seems like general manager Rob Pelinka has built the perfect roster.

Players need to build strong bonds in order to make the playoffs together. Guess what… Westbrook has already connected with Howard.

The former Washington Wizards veteran had a two-word welcome for the former Laker.

Howard is more than happy to re-sign with the Lakers. He left the team last offseason, but decided to come home and finish the job. The big man was part of the squad inside the Orlando bubble. He helped the Lakers win a ring. Unfortunately, the team wasn’t honored with a championship parade because of the pandemic. Howard wants his parade and he came back to LA to get the right treatment.

Russell Westbrook and Dwight Howard go after their ring

Westbrook and Howard will be key players for the Lakers in the upcoming 2021-22 NBA season. The main goal is to win a ring with the franchise. Truth is, the new-look Lakers roster looks good at the moment. It’s packed with veterans with great playoff experience. Some of the players will get a chance to win their first ring.

Howard is on his way to win his second ring. Westbrook has yet to win a NBA championship.

In the 2020-21 NBA season, Westbrook was averaging 22.2 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 11.7 assists per game with the Wizards. He averaged a triple-double for the second time in his pro career.

Howard averaged 7.0 points and 8.4 rebounds per game with the Philadelphia 76ers last season. He has the perfect size and LA will use the best of it next season. The Lakers really needed size and Howard is here to fill up any gaps.

These two players won’t see a lot of time on the court together, but we have at least one good reason to believe they will be great teammates. Add in LeBron and AD… Killer combo!

Carmelo Anthony, Trevor Ariza, and Kendrick Nunn will add more veteran talent to the game.
