Fans Go Crazy as New Rumored Lakers Jerseys Got Leaked

The Los Angeles Lakers have revamped their roster and they won’t even stop here. As you all may have noticed on social media, the new Lakers jerseys have just leaked. Oh, yes, and people definitely love these! Imagine LeBron James and Anthony Davis in their new uniform!

Of course, purple and gold is the first thing that pops in our mind every time someone mentions Kobe Bryant or anything related to the storied franchise. The front office makes changes here and there to spice things up and motivate players and fans. In Game 5 of the 2020 NBA Finals, players sported the Lakers City Edition jerseys. The Black Mamba jerseys were a real hit!

Now we have the new uniform!

These colors may be the perfect tribute to the Minneapolis Lakers. This is pretty similar to what the team did last season. The color scheme will be a little lighter. We will have to wait for the official statement from the team. I guess the Lakers have found the perfect combo of the past and the present. They got some blue from the original organization and blended it with pieces of the Los Angeles Lakers design. Nice, right?

LeBron James likes the Lakers jerseys that just got leaked

LeBron will sure enjoy his new uniform. He is changing numbers and this season he will wear No.6.

“James will don No. 6 for the 2021-22 season and Davis will stay with No. 3, the number he wore when L.A. won the championship in his inaugural season with the purple and gold, a team source confirmed to ESPN,” ESPN’s Dave McMenamin detailed. “James first wore No. 6 in international competition for Team USA and later wore it for the four seasons he played for the Miami Heat because the organization had already retired No. 23 in honor of Michael Jordan.

“He originally planned to switch back to No. 6 in the summer of 2019 when the Lakers acquired Davis, because the big man had worn No. 23 his entire career with New Orleans, but Nike nixed the swap, sources told ESPN, because of potentially tens of millions of dollars’ worth of wasted inventory.”
