Former Laker Cedric Ceballos Shares Encouraging Update on Scary COVID 19 Situation

Cedric Ceballos won his COVID battle. The former NBA All-Star and Slam Dunk Contest champion took to Twitter Monday that he won’t be isolated anymore. Ceballos added that he is “COVID-19 free.” However, the NBA icon had to be in intensive care unit as he is dealing with severe issues caused by the virus.

Ceballos thanked everyone for their supports. A lot of people have wished him well in the recent days.

“Hello family and friends, giving a UPDATE on my health situation….. I am COVID-19 free, thank you so very much for your prayers and well wishes to help me with that. I still CAN NOT breathe, walk or function on my own yet.”

Cedric Ceballos beats COVID

Ceballos turned 52 in August. He struggled with severe symptoms. The former NBA shared a photo of him last week. He had an oxygen mask on his face. It was his tenth day in the intensive care unit. Ceballos also used the opportunity to apologize to anyone he did bad in the past. It was a public apology and a lot of people got scared.

“On my 10th day in ICU, COVID-19 is officially kicking my b*tt, I am asking ALL family, friends , prayer warriors healers for your prayers and well wish for my recovery. If I have done and anything to you in the past , allow me to publicly apologize. My fight is not done.”

In his 11-year NBA career, Ceballos was averaging 14.3 points per game. He had two stints with the Phoenix Suns, and one with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, and Miami Heat each.

Ceballos won the slam dunk contest in 1992. He was playing with the Suns back then. His Phoenix team made the NBA Finals and missed the chance to beat Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls the following season. The Lakers had him in town, and Ceballos made the All-Star game as a Laker. Not bad for a former NBA star, right? We really hope that he feels even much better in the next few days. We are sending our great thoughts!
