LeBron James Gives Strong Take on DeMar DeRozan Jersey Retirement With Raptors

DeMar DeRozan will probably wear No.11 with the Chicago Bulls in the 2021-22 NBA season. The Toronto Raptors may consider retiring his jersey number. I mean, DeRozan has worn the No.10 jersey throughout his entire basketball career. He had this number with the San Antonio Spurs, too. This question has sparked a debate online and we saw a lot of hilarious comments. LeBron James reacted to the discussion about DeRozan and his jersey retirement.

If you ask the four-time NBA champion, he will say that the Raptors should not even question this.

DeRozan is the No.10 guy, but the Bulls have retired the jersey in honor of Bob Love. The NBA superstar will have to change numbers, and he will probably go with No.11. In fact, he has already hinted at this possibility early in August.

The newly-signed Bulls veteran is the 20th player in franchise history to get the No.11 jersey. JaVonte Green, David Nwaba, and Dough McDermott had it in the last few seasons.

LeBron James will watch DeMar DeRozan join forces with his former teammates wearing new jersey numbers

DeRozan is joining a new team and he will be playing with a former Lakers star. Alex Caruso signed his contract with the Bulls and he will wear No.6. Caruso had the No.4 jersey with the Lakers, but the Bulls had retired this jersey in honor of Jerry Sloan.

Lonzo Ball is another former Laker to play with the Bulls. He is wearing No.2 with the team.

The Bulls made so many changes this offseason, and the same goes to LeBron’s team. The Los Angeles Lakers lost Alex Caruso, Dennis Schroder, Andre Drummond, and a few others in the offseason. Caruso is probably the biggest loss for the team. He was supposed to stay with the franchise, but the Bulls made a better offer. Schroder sealed his destiny and missed $84 million. Drummond is off to a fresh start.

It’s interesting to note that the Lakers were linked to DeRozan on multiple occasion. He would have been a good fit for Frank Vogel’s gameplan. LA looks really good even without DeRozan on the roster.
