Report: Patriots Make Official Roster Decision On RB James White

There is a report out that the New England Patriots have made an official roster decision on running back James White. The Patriots will be taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week 4 of the NFL season. They are coming off a loss to the New Orlean Saints in which the offense did not look very good. The defense looked decent but it is clear that there are still some things that need to be worked on.

Sadly, not only did they lose the game, but they also lost running back James White to a bad hip injury. They have now officially placed him on injured reserve.

It will be a big loss having him out for the entire season.

Devin McCourty recently came out with some words on how important of a part he is.

“James is the quiet leader. Obviously not having a guy like that hurts as a team,” McCourty said. “He had gotten off to a great start, and you just hate to see the long road to recovery that comes with being injured, but he’s one of the toughest people I’ve been around. I know he’ll bounce back.”

Bill Belichick also had great things to say about him.

“James gives us great leadership both on and off the field,” Belichick said. “He’s a player that if he doesn’t say anything, you just watch what he does. He provides great leadership by his actions, the way he prepares, his consistency both on and off the field, his work habits and his attitude to always help the team and put the team first in whatever he’s asked to do.”

“As a coaching staff, he’s one of the players that I love to talk to. ‘How are things going? How do you think we’re doing? Where are we on this? Where are we on that?’” Belichick said. “He’s very honest, and he has a good perspective. It’s not too high, not too low. It’s very honest and helpful. It helps me prepare and manage the team. I’ve always done that with the players that I thought had a good pulse on things, and he’s certainly one of those guys, and that shows up a lot in the captains meetings that we’ve had in previous years.
